Taurine is a conditionally essential amino acid that is not used for protein synthesis, but is mainly free in most tissues, especially throughout the nervous system.
It works in tissues by stabilizing cell membranes, supporting the transport of potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium to and from cells. Taurine helps to generate and regulate nerve impulses and helps maintain fluid balance; it is also used by the body in the visual pathways, as well as in the brain and nervous system, where it works with glycine and GABA as a neurotransmitter.
This product has twice as much taurine (1000 mg) as in our usual high-strength product (500 mg).
A natural color change may occur in this product.
One capsule contains:
Taurine (free form) 1000 mg
Usage: 1 capsule 1 to 2 times a day with juice or water, preferably between meals.
Store in a cool, dry place after opening.
