BICAPS® BUTYRIC dietary supplement supplements the diet with butyric acid.

Butyric acid (or butanoic acid) belongs to short chain fatty acids (SCFA), which are building components of fats, necessary for the proper functioning of cells. It is the most important source of energy for colonocytes (large intestinal epithelial cells).

Products rich in fiber (including inulin) and some probiotics may increase its concentration in the body. However, it happens that its production in the colon is too low, which can lead to digestive disorders. In humans, its concentration also decreases with age. In such cases, butyric acid can also be administered orally. However, it is important that it reaches the intestines directly and is not digested in the stomach.

COMPOSITION OF THE PRODUCT
The daily portion (2 capsules) contains:

sodium butyrate - 300 mg,

including butyric acid - 240 mg;

Inulin - 650 mg.
