Teasel (Dipsacus silvester) is a biennial plant from the teasel family. It is common in Poland and other areas of Europe, as well as in Western Asia and North Africa. It grows wild, it is rarely cultivated, although sometimes it enriches home gardens as an ornament or herbal raw material

The raw material used in supplementation is the roots, which are dug up in early spring or autumn, and the leaves, which are harvested in the spring before the plant blooms. Due to its thorny stem, teasel is often compared in appearance to milk thistle.

Teasel is gaining more and more popularity as a herb helpful in the treatment of Lyme disease. It is also used in the treatment of gout and liver diseases and inflammatory skin conditions (including acne and eczema).

Recommended use: 1 capsule 2 times a day.
